Editorial Policy

GameBetReview is an independent, Malaysia-focused iGaming review site. We publish hands-on reviews of online casinos, sportsbooks, slot providers and casino games that accept Malaysian Ringgit. This editorial policy documents the standards every piece of content on the site must meet before it is published.

Independence

  • No paid placements. Operators cannot pay to be listed, re-ranked, scored higher, or to have negative findings removed.
  • Affiliate revenue (see Affiliate Disclosure) is collected only when a reader actually opens a real-money account or deposits via one of our outbound links. The affiliate relationship is disclosed inline above every commercial CTA.
  • Editorial decisions (which operator wins a category, which is downrated after a payment-rail outage, which is removed after losing a licence) are made by the editorial team alone. Commercial partners are not consulted.

Sourcing standards

For every operator we cover, the reviewer must:

  1. Hold and use a personal, fully verified account with the operator. We do not review based on screenshots from the operator’s marketing pages.
  2. Confirm the licence directly with the regulator’s public registry (PAGCOR, Curaçao GCB, Isle of Man GSC, MGA, etc.) before publishing a “Licensed” badge.
  3. Cite primary sources when discussing payment processors (FPX, DuitNow, Help2Pay, EeziePay, Boost, Touch’n Go), regulators or game providers — not third-party review aggregators.
  4. Record at least one completed real-money withdrawal cycle (request → bank credit) before publishing a payout-speed claim.

Fact-checking and dual-author review

  • Every review is fact-checked by a second member of the editorial team before publication. The fact-checker independently verifies the licence number, headline payout time, welcome-bonus wagering terms and any quoted regulator/provider name.
  • Numerical claims (RTP, max win, withdrawal time) must be tied to a source the reader can verify themselves: a regulator filing, the operator’s own T&Cs, or the game studio’s official information sheet.
  • Screenshots used as evidence (KYC, deposit confirmations, withdrawal receipts) are stored locally with timestamps so claims can be re-verified during audits.

Conflict of interest

  • No member of the editorial team holds equity, employment or paid ambassador relationships with any operator, payment processor or game studio reviewed on this site.
  • Free play credit, comp packages or “VIP host” relationships offered by operators are declined. Any unsolicited promotional credit received is documented in the editor’s log and not used for testing.
  • If a personal relationship (friends, family, former employment) exists with an operator, the conflicted reviewer recuses themselves from that review and another team member takes over.

Updates and freshness

  • Every review is reviewed on at least a quarterly cadence, or sooner when a material change occurs:
    • regulator change or licence revocation,
    • ownership / parent-company change,
    • withdrawal-rail outage of more than 72 hours,
    • bonus-terms change material enough to affect the score,
    • any unresolved player-fund safety incident.
  • The “Last updated” date in each review’s trust panel always reflects the date of the most recent verified test, not a cosmetic content refresh.
  • Removed or downrated operators are kept indexed (with a clear status banner) so historical readers can see why a previous recommendation changed.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error in any GameBetReview article, email suretester00@gmail.com with the URL, the disputed claim and any supporting evidence. We commit to:

  1. Acknowledging the report within two business days.
  2. Re-verifying the claim with primary sources.
  3. Publishing a correction within seven business days of confirming the error, including a dated correction note at the bottom of the affected article.

Substantive corrections (anything that changes a rating, a licence status or a payout-time claim) are also linked from the homepage’s Recent corrections feed when the change is significant enough to affect a reader decision.

AI usage policy

  • We do not publish AI-generated review content. Generative AI tools may be used internally for line-editing, transcription of testing notes, or formatting tables, but every published claim must come from a human reviewer’s documented hands-on test.
  • AI-assisted edits do not change facts, scores or recommendations. A human editor signs off on every published article.

Reader safety

  • Every review and guide on the site links to our Responsible Gambling page and the 21+ age restriction is shown above the fold on every commercial page.
  • We will not publish content that targets minors, promises guaranteed wins, or recommends gambling as a way to solve financial problems.
  • Reviews of operators that block, slow-roll or refuse legitimate Malaysian-player withdrawals are downrated immediately and the payout-speed claim is updated, regardless of the operator’s commercial relationship with the site.

This policy is reviewed at least once per year, or whenever Google’s Search Quality Rater Guidelines or local Malaysian advertising guidance materially changes.
