What it did not do is move the max win very far. The original tops out at 21,100x. This one tops out at 25,000x. A ten-fold increase in the multiplier ceiling bought an 18% increase in the actual win ceiling — and that gap tells you most of what you need to know about how the game behaves.

The RTP nudged up very slightly. The multiplier ceiling went up tenfold. The max win moved about 18%.
That combination has a specific meaning: the same money is being redistributed into a longer tail. More of the game’s return is now parked in outcomes you will almost certainly never see, and it has to be funded by the ordinary spins in between. The bigger bombs did not make the game more generous. They made it swingier.
The Bombs Still Only Exist in Free Spins
This is the rule that defines every game in the Sweet Bonanza line, and 1000 does not change it.
Rainbow bombs do not appear in the base game. Not once, not rarely — never. The base game is pure tumbling with no multipliers whatsoever. Everything this game is worth is locked behind the free-spins trigger.
Land four or more lollipop scatters for 10 free spins. Now the bombs land, carrying 2x up to 1,000x. When several appear during a tumble sequence, their values are added together and applied to that sequence’s accumulated win. A 500x and a 300x bomb on the same sequence give you 800x on that win, not 150,000x.
Scatters during the round retrigger it, and a long retriggered bonus with big bombs landing is the only realistic path anywhere near 25,000x.
Is 1000 Better Than the Original?
For most sessions, the original is the more sensible game, and the numbers back that up.
You are paying for a ten-times-larger bomb ceiling and receiving a max win only 18% higher. The RTP difference (96.53% vs 96.48%) is a rounding error you will never feel. What you will feel is the extra volatility — a flatter base game and a bonus round that more often disappoints, funding the rare occasions when it does not.
Pick Sweet Bonanza 1000 if you want the higher tail and accept the grind that pays for it. Pick the original if you want the format at its most playable.
